JAMES SINGLETON is an actor, singer and improviser who loves being a part of the creative family that is Turbine Arts Collective! Recent fun adventures include starring in the world premiere of the play Not/ Now, having a blast in the award nominated ensemble cast of “This Place Sucks…” and having the honor of being a guest singer for Richard Sherman’s 90th birthday concert at the Wallis.
MICHAEL MORTILLA has composed for The Academy of Motion Pictures, the Chicago Symphony, the Olympics, NPR, PBS, TCM, the Library of Congress, in countless theater and dance productions, and was the last composer to collaborate with Martha Graham on a produced work. He was on the faculty at the UC Santa Barbara for over 14 years, and has taught several master classes at CALARTS. Michael is otherwise largely self-taught. His particular area of expertise is improvisational music in all styles.
TANGELIA ROUSE is a storyteller/comedian/actor/writer and director. She's been on stages all over Los Angeles, including the Laugh Factory, Comedy Store and Flappers.
PAM NOLES is a former cop reporter whose writing has appeared in the Los Angeles Times, Dark Horse Comics and Warner Books. When not making costumes and stage-managing for local theaters, she performs at storytelling venues all over Los Angeles. She performed her nerd-tastic storytelling concert ! Death 40-Feet Tall !, at the Hollywood Fringe Festival.
LES KURKENDAAL-BARRETT is an actor and comedian who has toured internationally with his award-winning storytelling shows. He’s a member of the long-running story salon, and has been a featured performer with the Moth mainstage. He hosts a podcast called A Lifetime of Hallmark where he talks about movies on the Lifetime and the Hallmark channels.
ANNA VARNON is a Humor Advocate who uses laughter to beat fear into the ground. She shares stories designed to encourage, educate and celebrate people of all hues and genders. She also shares tips to keep you out of jail. She has appreared at the Laugh Factory, Ice House, and many other venues across Los Angeles and beyond.
JOSHUA SILVERSTEIN has taken his strong improv background to award-winning heights as an actor, writer, and acclaimed beatboxer. In addition to co-hosting and producing the Emmy-winning Downbeat 720, the Santa Monica open mike for high school students, he co-hosted the monthly comedian emcee battle at Upright Citizens Brigade. His solo-show, Tell Me I'm Pretty, had a highly praised run at Bootleg Theater.
